The Waiting Game …

Friday, September 2nd, 2011

I’ve asked for slight changes to my book interior … so am waiting.  But time to be positive and get ready for the big moment of publication!  I’ve just had a meeting with a friend who led me through the deeper aspects of Facebook, Twitter, and more … There’s a whole virtual world out there, and I want to travel and revel in it!  Now, all I need is that book!!

Divided Loyalties …

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

I’ve got two Twitter accounts now … each reflecting a side of moi!  One is LostFoundinLond … a very compact version of my book title:  Lost and Found in London.  The other is VoteStrategy … reflecting my activities with a group – www.catch22campaign.ca – advocating strategic voting in order to rid Canada of the Harper Conservatives.  Two interests, two types of Tweets … It’s getting interesting!

Virtualosity

Friday, January 7th, 2011

I’ve started 2011 with a virtual vengeance!  I’m Blogging, as you see before you, adding “Friends” to Facebook, even Tweeting!  So far, I’ve got 8 Twitter “Followers.”  How can life go wrong with so many Friends and Followers?  At the same time, I “join the conversation” at The Globe and Mail daily newspaper, damning the Harper government almost every day … from the safety of my on-line status.  Although the whole exercise is turning me into a walking/talking extension of my computer, I do like the connection with the outside world.  It’s just the real world I miss!
